Muji Trekker is operated by a local man Muji Sembahulun‘Muji’, who began his tourism carier from doing the rinjani trekking as a Rinjani Guide and Tour Lombok. And he is the original from Sembalun village "Rinjani Starting Point" who experience a lot of jungles, hills, and mountains around his island.
And he finished his Diploma in Tourism and Hotel Management is of a free school in Lombok “ HSS “ owned by Netherlander, and he speaks two languages English and Netherland. Before he run his Tour and Trekking Company, he worked as a travel agent as a tour guide and in 4 (Four) hotels in Lombok Including the five-star hotel Sheraton Senggigi Beach Hotel, Senggigi Beach Hotel, Purimas Hotel, and Quncy Villas.
Muji has a wealth of trekking experience having reached the summit of Rinjani 87 times and has done the Rinjani trek countless times.
Muji Trekker is dedicated to supporting the local community of Sembalun. Muji employed experienced local experts as mountain/tour guides and porters and trains local young people in the English language, technical guiding, first aid, and tourism so that they can gain employment in the future.
As an active member of the local Community Development Centre, Muji values community development and sustainability, he and his staff ensure they leave nothing but footprints on Rinjani and take nothing but photographs.
Muji Trekker also takes part in clean Rinjani programs and donates a percentage of all proceeds from the trek back into community projects, such as children’s English classes, free courses for local young people, and sanitation programs.
